| You live in the northern hemisphere; | |
| You ordinarily start your tomatoes sometime during the months of January through May; | |
| You live in the southern hemisphere and have a greenhouse and would like to grow tomatoes in your usual off-season, and most importantly | |
| You make a written commitment to grow out the seeds you receive from ITT and keep records in prescribed format in order that future ITG members and others can benefit from your observations and experience. |
Click on the Sign me Up navigation button at the top of this page and fill out a sign-up sheet that will appear on your screen. Don't skip any of the questions and remember: the more information you can let us know about your gardening experience, climate, garden size, etc., the better able we will be to send you varieties best suited to your conditions.
You are automatically eligible to participate in future trials as long as you kept the required records and reported your results in a timely fashion. If you also saved seeds and/or made a small contribution to one of four non-profit seed saving organizations listed in Grower's Resources, you're also a Hot Tomato and will receive your new seeds at no charge.
Click on the I'm Back navigation button at the top of this page to sign up and verify your name, mailing and e-mail addresses, climate, garden information, and tomato preferences. Returning ITG members in good standing are also eligible to sign-up for a limited number of places in specialized trials planned for Spring 2000.
But I don't know how to save seeds!
That's okay. We've posted easy-to-follow instructions. One of ITT's goals is to assist in the creation of an international online seed bank to help make home gardeners and small-scale farmers and market gardeners self-sufficient. Encouraging people to save seeds is important to us.
